Spanish 2High School (Grades 8-12) The goal for learners in this Spanish II course is for students to continue to build their cultural competence and their language proficiency so that they can 1) Interact with others using knowledge and understanding of native and other cultures and 2) communicate effectively in Spanish both in person and via technology. Students will deepen their learning of basic language structures, with a focus on communicating about their immediate world and daily life activities, reading material on familiar topics, and writing short, directed compositions. The major means of communication between students and instructors will be in the target language. By the end of Level II, students will exhibit Novice-High level proficiency in speaking and writing and Intermediate-Low level proficiency in listening and reading. Resources
