Intermediate Art (Spring Semester) (4th - 9th)

Teacher: Jasmine Willis Date/Time: Wednesday - 2:30 PM to 3:25 PM Room: Classroom 24 Departments: Elementary, Middle School Grade Level: 6-10 years old, 11-14 years old Maximum Enrollment: 12

This class is for students who are more serious about art and would love to become more advanced in their craft. We learn about different artists, art vocabulary, and different art styles. A lot of drawing is also involved in this course. 

Intermediate art is a full curriculum guided class. It consists of:

• Building an Art Portfolio

• Sketching 

• Contemporary art

• Silhouettes- includes Color Theory 

• Pottery

• Sculpture

• Surrealism

• Creative art

• Landscape Art 

• Perspective and Illusion 

*It is imperative that my art students complete their homework, because it goes along with creating portraits and projects. 

If the homework isn't completed, the students will be uncertain and have less confidence in completing art projects in class.

Some projects will take two classes to complete, as the class is much more advanced.

It's important that all students have discipline and are able to listen when I give instructions.  We have limited time to complete the class, so when everyone is quiet and attentive, we can accomplish a lot in our class!
