Spanish 1 ABEKA Christian Curriculum

We will be using the renowned Abeka Christian Curriculum. This introductory course teaches students the fundamentals of the Spanish language, including vocabulary, phonics, pronunciation, basic grammar, sentence structure, and conversational skills.

Students will practice listening, speaking, reading, and writing while learning about Spanish-speaking cultures and customs in each lesson. In addition, students will learn a new Bible verse in Spanish with every lesson.

• Textbook: Newly updated Spanish 1 student textbook from Abeka — designed to teach Spanish as a second language for students in grades 8–12.
• Goal: Develop literacy, oral fluency, and cultural proficiency from a Christian perspective.
• Format: An “all-in-one” resource combining the student text and vocabulary manual into a single workbook.
• Skill Building: Focuses on critical thinking, writing assignments, and establishing effective study habits.
• Spiritual Integration: Build the confidence and language skills to share the Gospel with Spanish speakers globally.
