Course Description
This engaging course, designed for students in grades 4 through 6, focuses on building grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills through history-inspired lessons and exciting literature. Students will also learn key writing techniques using principles from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). Weekly writing and grammar assignments will be given, and students should expect to spend 3–4 hours of work outside of class each week. This class meets two days per week: in-person on Wednesdays and virtually on Tuesdays (or another day TBD based on student availability) for supplemental learning.
