Course Description

Designed for students in grades 7–9, this course covers grammar, vocabulary, root words, and focuses on building skills for effective communication through various writing styles — including descriptive, informative, and narrative. This course implements the WriteShop I Curriculum. Students should expect to spend a minimum of 4 hours per week on coursework outside of class and will submit writing assignments weekly.

Each enrolled student will receive:

Homework Folder — to receive and submit weekly assignments; must be brought to every class.
Daily Grammar Packets — distributed for students to complete daily between classes and turn in the following week.
