Come experience Georgia’s fascinating Gold Rush history with a hands-on homeschool field trip to Consolidated Gold Mine or the historic Dahlonega Gold Museum!

Students will step back in time to discover how America’s first major gold rush began right here in North Georgia—more than 20 years before the California Gold Rush. This immersive field trip combines history, science, geology, economics, and hands-on learning in a fun and memorable way.
